Jerry blogs on Huffington Post
With his 20-plus years of renewable energy experience, Jerry posted a statement about our nation's clean energy future in the "Spotlight on the House" section of Huffington Post yesterday.
I can say definitively that we haven't yet begun to realize the benefits that new energy technology development can offer to this country.
Doing so will mean good jobs in the United States. It will also mean an increasingly diversified economy developing energy efficient and environmentally friendly technologies, producing products and ideas for the rest of the world.
Estimates are that launching down this path will mean the creation of hundreds of thousands of new, stable, clean energy jobs in our country -- at all levels of the economic ladder.
I've frequently heard Jerry talk about the enormous job growth potential that renewable energy presents. He explains it here:
In my former field, wind energy, 9,000 new jobs have been created in the past 17 months alone. Think about it: that's engineers who decide where to locate new turbines, technicians who erect them, mechanics who maintain them, steelworkers who manufacture them and drivers who transport them from place to place.
And that's just for wind energy. Don't forget about solar, geothermal, tidal, biomass -- and a whole host of other types of new, clean energy that may not have even been discovered yet.

Hello,
I just want to tell you about an idea for the 700 billion dollar deal. Let's pay it to the people behind on their mortgages. They can pay the banks and then force the banks to refinance at a fixed rate so they can keep their homes, the banks get paid, and the taxpayers at least feel like their $ is going to a good cause and not to line the pants of the rich bank owners who got themselves into this mess and should have known better.
Also it needs to be said loud and clear this is Bushs fault as once again he painted a rosey picture and said the economy was fine as recently as July. He is either sleeping at the switch or a foolish liar. Just like Iraq. He acts all surprised at this mess that he created. Someone please stand up and say this administration is the most decietful one in history.
